Meet Dr. Susan Timna & Dr. Cori Palmer

Dr. Susan Timna
Dr. Timna is a native of Savannah and a graduate of Savannah Country Day School. Dr. Timna completed both her undergraduate degree and Masters Degree in Audiology at the University of Georgia. She received her Doctorate in Audiology through the Arizona School of Health Sciences and is specially trained in the area of tinnitus management. She is certified in dementia care.
Dr. Timna is accredited with the Georgia State Board of Audiology, the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and holds her clinical competency in Audiology.
Dr. Timna is an active member of the community and serves as a volunteer and donor for several organizations including the Savannah Philharmonic, the Council on World Affairs, the Savannah Wildlife Rescue Center, and the Savannah Classical Academy. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Savannah. During her free time, Dr. Timna enjoys spending time with her family, including her five grandchildren.

Dr. Cori Palmer
Dr. Palmer is a native of Tifton, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders and from University of Louisville with a Doctorate in Audiology.
She has over 15 years of experience in Audiology and is an active member of the American Academy of Audiology. In addition, she holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Palmer and her husband have 2 boys. In her spare time, she enjoys running and training for marathons, which she has completed 3 full marathons and over 25 half marathons total. She also enjoys volunteering with her children’s schools and supporting organizations such as Susan G. Komen and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Kenyada Bell Ficken
Chief Audiology Technician
Kenyada Bell Ficken is a native of Augusta, Georgia and has lived in Savannah for 10 years. She has been practicing with Dr. Timna and Dr. Palmer for almost 7 years. Kenyada’s role with Expert Hearing as Chief Audiology Technician is to provide hands-on assistance by guiding patients in learning how to manage their new hearing devices and troubleshooting their current hearing devices. With a background in psychology and a passion for patient communication, Kenyada specializes in helping individuals feel comfortable and confident throughout their hearing care journey.
She is currently pursuing advanced studies in psychology and counseling, with a focus on how cognitive and emotional factors influence communication and quality of life. Her academic knowledge combined with her in-practice experience allows her to provide both technical support and empathetic guidance to patients of all ages.
In her free time, Kenyada enjoys home design projects, reading, and spending time with her husband and their pets.

Clare Barry
Meet Clare! Clare Barry is one of our audiology technicians and has been a part of Expert Hearing since Spring 2024. She holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree with specialized training in audiology and patient care, which provides her with a strong foundation for supporting patients in their hearing healthcare journey. Clare is dedicated to creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for every patient she meets, ensuring that each individual feels supported and understood. She enjoys building connections and takes pride in helping patients achieve better hearing and quality of life.
In her free time, Clare enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and three dogs, as well as visiting family and friends back home in Northeast Georgia.

Hailey Garcia

We are excited to welcome Hailey to our team as a Hearing Aid Technician!
A native of Savannah, Georgia, Hailey is a recent graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she earned her degree in May 2025.
Outside of work, Hailey enjoys spending time with her friends and family, participating in outdoor activities, and giving back to her community. She is actively involved in her local church, where she volunteers in children’s ministries and dedicates time to babysitting. With a genuine passion for helping children, she finds fulfillment in making a positive impact in their lives.
We believe her kind heart will extend to all our patients, and she is looking forward to meeting each of you!

Ginny Phillips
We are thrilled to welcome Ginny Phillips to the Expert Hearing team!
Ginny Phillips is a native of Savannah and has spent the past 20 years in the field of education. During her time as a teacher, Ginny developed a strong passion for helping others grow and succeed. In her role as an Audiology Technician, Ginny will work directly with patients to educate them on their hearing aids, assist with technology related to devices, and troubleshoot hearing aid issues.
Ginny and her husband, Marty, are the proud parents of three beautiful girls. During her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for their many sports and activities, in addition to reading, spending time with friends, and traveling.
Ginny received her Bachelor’s in Child and Family Consumer Sciences from the University of Georgia. An advocate for children and animals, Ginny has volunteered with multiple nonprofit organizations throughout Savannah including the Children’s Hospital at Memorial Health, CURE Childhood Cancer, and Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
