Meet Dr. Susan Timna & Dr. Cori Palmer
Dr. Susan Timna
Dr. Timna is a native of Savannah and a graduate of Savannah Country Day School. Dr. Timna completed both her undergraduate degree and Masters Degree in Audiology at the University of Georgia. She received her Doctorate in Audiology through the Arizona School of Health Sciences and is specially trained in the area of tinnitus management. She is certified in dementia care.
Dr. Timna is accredited with the Georgia State Board of Audiology, the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and holds her clinical competency in Audiology.
Dr. Timna is an active member of the community and serves as a volunteer and donor for several organizations including the Savannah Philharmonic, the Council on World Affairs, the Savannah Wildlife Rescue Center, and the Savannah Classical Academy. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Savannah. During her free time, Dr. Timna enjoys spending time with her family, including her five grandchildren.
Dr. Cori Palmer
Dr. Palmer is a native of Tifton, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders and from University of Louisville with a Doctorate in Audiology.
She has over 15 years of experience in Audiology and is an active member of the American Academy of Audiology. In addition, she holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Palmer and her husband have 2 boys. In her spare time, she enjoys running and training for marathons, which she has completed 3 full marathons and over 25 half marathons total. She also enjoys volunteering with her children’s schools and supporting organizations such as Susan G. Komen and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Kenyada Bell Ficken
Chief Audiology Technician
Kenyada is a native of Augusta, Georgia and has lived in Savannah for 10 years. She has been practicing with Dr. Timna and Dr. Palmer for almost 5 years. Kenyada’s role with Expert Hearing as Chief Audiology Technician is to provide hands on assistance by guiding patients in learning how to manage their new hearing devices and troubleshooting their current hearing devices.
She enjoys working with patients and having the opportunity to help people. Kenyada is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology at Georgia Southern University.
During her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and their fur babies. She also enjoys trying new recipes (especially anything Barefoot Contessa), reading, and long walks with her golden retriever, Bea.
